About Me

Chicana/LatinX she/her/hers | de La Frontera

My journey into the world of design began when I was a child.  I drew dresses, made shoes, sold hand-stitched fabric dolls, created jewelry, and designed the habitats for my various animals which my dad helped me build out while growing up on the border of South Texas.  When I started to take computer programming classes in Austin many years later, I learned about UX/UI Design, then began working for a SaaS Product Implementation to help build out my Service Design skillset.

Interaction with people and creating positive systemic change in their lives is what draws me most to the field of Human-Centered Design. My past Systems Design work for non-profits have been through a HCD lens, and my most recent work with the Community Resilience Trust and Creative Policy. I continue to produce artwork in my spare time.

I hold a B.A. in Latin American Studies and a minor in Government from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as multiple certifications from The Interaction Design Foundation and Axelos Institute for ITIL Foundations.
